Identity Verification for Credit Report Privacy

Compass will ensure that we protect our client’s privacy when sharing credit report information, whether in person, by video conference or over the phone. In order to do this, coaches will confirm the client’s identity before providing a credit report OR discussing information that is pulled from a credit report.

In Person or Video Meeting Verification

During in person or video conference (e.g. Zoom) appointments, coaches will verify your identity by reviewing your photo identification such as a driver’s licenses, state identification cards, and other picture identification are acceptable. The photo id should match the name for the credit report pulled and not be expired. If you not have a photo id available, then the alternate verification method below may be used.

Alternative Verification

During remote (phone or video meeting) appointments, coaches may verify your identity by asking you two pieces of information from your credit report. If you are not able to answer the questions, your coach may not be able to discuss details of your credit report.
